I am thinking that once I finish my 2nd scarf (the blue one I intend to wear with all my blue winter jackets, I should work on a pillow or maybe an afghan, but then maybe better to crochet another afghan... That's one of the joys of New England travel: in the winter, you never know if you'll "really" be leaving when you plan to. But a testosterone-laden road trip back to California sounds like just what every father & son needs: male bonding time. Trust the men have a gentle road trip and you all can laugh about the past few weeks - oh yeah, well you know what I mean. My yarn bag has travelled back and forth over the mountains to offer a sense of calm midst the ongoing story of THE man as he set about starving himself; amazing how pique can be played out but with my constant thinking out loud, sharing the latest bear to come off my needles and finally me dancing round his hospital bed to Kylie was enough for him to take a sip of water! Damage done cannot be rubbed out but maybe some real decisions and their consequences may just be considered now but whatever bears and I will still dance to Kylie whilst holding the hand of a fear filled human being.
